Ringing for VJ 80
In 1919 the people of Irnham Parish created a memorial to those who had fort and lost their lives during the First World War. The memorial consisted of two parts, the Bronze Plaque on the south wall of the nave which lists the names of the parish fallen, and a new bell in the tower with the inscription Peace Bell.
On the morning of the 15th August 2025 the Peace Bell was rung to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the hostilities in the Far East and thus the end of the Second World War.
