14th century Lincolnshire comes to life. Music, songs and dance inspired by illustrations in the Luttrell Psalter.

de Mowbray’s Musicke are Lincolnshire’s pre-eminent Medieval group, playing music and songs from the period up to 1500 on a staggering array of different instruments and singing in multiple languages and harmonies.

They also teach and showcase dances of the period.

They are in great demand and regularly work for English Heritage and other historical sites. Their performances are a perfect blend of entertainment and information. Expect to be drawn right into the Medieval soundscape!

de Mowbray’s Musicke are influenced by several different sources, including the wonderful Luttrell Psalter with its glorious scenes of Medieval life and many musical instruments displayed in its marginalia.

In the concert they will be performing pieces to bring those images to life: from the countryside to the court.

Commencing at 7pm you have the opportunity to come and talk to the musicians in person about the instruments and their history.
.
You can see them on their website https://www.demowbray.info/
