Easter Sunday at Irnham Church
At the Easter Sunday ceremony Charlie Leggatt helped Erin and Megan to light the candle as part of the ceremony.
Both girls seemed very pleased with being asked, well done girls.
Special occasion parties held at Irnham Hall Wedding Venue
There were two families in the village celebrating milestone birthdays in March and they chose to hold their parties at Irnham Hall Wedding Venue.
The first was for Sophie.
Sophie celebrated her 21st Birthday in style with her friends and family at the wedding venue.
It was beautifully decorated with disco balls and candles, many thanks for the fantastic support and guidance of Leila Benton Jones, who was incredibly helpful with planning a memorable and special party.
The second was for myself, Liz, as I hit 60 on Saturday 23rd March, thank you to Jamie for allowing me the time to get everything set up over 3 days. There were a lot of balloons to blow up and my helpers, thank goodness, had the aid of a foot pump.
Thanks also go to my husband, Terry, who found the most amazing band for the evening's entertainment called Coyote, they truly made my evening as well as my three sons' speeches and having all my friends and family there, especially my seven grandchildren.
Well done Terry and thank you.
Jeffrey's story
Jeffrey has been getting very vocal this month (April) maybe he is calling for a mate from another village but we definitely know he is about.
He flies up onto the chimney stack and his call seems to carry so much further from there, let’s hope there is a lonely lady peacock out there for him.
He has also been a bit lonely as his adopted family went on holiday so I think he has missed them.
He has had his usual expeditions out of the garden with his chicken mates and whilst I was depositing garden waste into our skip, I had a close encounter
with ginger chicken. She had already chased off my cat and thought I was a threat too.
I told her it’s a camera nothing else. Another sign I have hit 60 talking to chickens!
If you ever see Jeffrey doing something out of the ordinary then please send me a photo so I can update everyone.
