Church concert with Sarah McQuaid

The acoustics of the Church made her voice sound amazing and with light hearted jokes about her life it was a pleasant way to spend an evening.
We would recommend a cushion for any future performances though.
The organisers of the event, Irnham Community Entertainment (ICE) donated £100 plus gift aid to St Andrews Church Fabric Fund from surplus monies generated by this event.
ICE has two more events in St Andrew's Church this year and hopes to raise more money for the Church.

Geoffrey the Peacock
I am sad to say this maybe the last update on Geoffrey. After being rescued from another village by Sir Jamie as he was being a bit naughty, he has started this behaviour in Irnham.
He was caught yesterday 7th June by Sir Jamie and had a wing clipped and it was hoped that he would stay with the hall's chickens but alas he is back on Watergate house shed roof again this morning, 8th June.
I was updated by our new neighbour that he maybe taken to market or rehomed should anyone like him. But I would suggest clipping wings as he can fly as high as a chimney.

Thank you again for your support.
Spring Clean in the Parish

I was away for the day but I always do my bit where I can. Those who helped were Jon and Janet Crook, Martin Fuggle, Peter and Maureen Gray, Jenny and Andrew Crow, Sarah and Mike Hatfield, Lynda and David Hall, Rose Broom, Mal Holland, Rick Clegg, Ian Campbell, Niall Clarkson, Medi and Nancy Watters, Charlie Leggatt, Bronwen Bevan, Sir Jamie, Tony Martin, John and Jude Slater, Paul and Carol Howat, Amanda Ayre, Diana Broughton, Adele Rayner and Mark Hodson. A big 'thank you' to Alan Luscombe and Trevor Vanson for all the mowing in Bulby and Hawthorpe. If I have missed anybody off I do apologize.
Celebrations for Resident's 70th Birthday

It was a complete surprise to Janet and she was overwhelmed for several minutes.
Lovely day out for myself and hubby Terry.
