Jeffrey's story continues

Pheasant 3

Well we have an update on Jeffrey.

He is looking beautiful and colourful (sorry black and white doesn’t show this)

His tail feathers are starting to grow and he hasn’t lost his ability to fly, as I witnessed when he flew from the top of Ben's new greenhouse frame to the top of their chimney.

The photos show my grandsons Oliver and Alfie saying hello to him under strict instructions from Nanny that he is a wild creature and not to invade his space.

Also Jeffrey now has a slightly lower roost on top of Ben's greenhouse minus glass at the moment, which when installed may alter.

Trees in Irnham

After many delays due to planning timescales and weather conditions, the trees opposite Blacksmiths cottage have been reduced in height.

Irnhams action man 1 1

There were several branches down over the last couple of years and after careful planning due to the height and close proximity to properties it was agreed to reduce them considerably.

We believe that it hasn’t changed the look of the village too much and has lightened the area considerably and its only February,  so what it will be like in summer?  I cant wait to see.

Thank you Sir Jamie for your agreement in this matter. We only lost a few daffodils on the verge through the whole process.

Since the trees have been taken down our very own action man, Jon Crook, has started to cut up the large logs to a more manageable size ready for drying out and I guess burning in the Griffin Inn log burner.

Waste not want not.

If you have an upcoming event or would like me to mention this please let me know asap. Love photos thanks Liz
